Dear Father,
We never thought your leaving us so soon
Still fresh in our mind how much you love us very much,
Caring, loving, patience that’s what you showed us
We never said enough thank you for what you have gave us.

Thank you for always
Being there for your care
And the special and true Understanding
We shared.
Thank you for words not said,
When words cannot mend.
And also the thoughtful care
And love that you lend.
Thanks you for the life,
That you gave us,
And especially the love,
Even blindness could see.
Thank you for the screaming and shouting
To get through, And for all those times
When we needed you!
Thanks for knowing and not knowing what to do.
Thanks for easing and pulling us trough
Thanks for the times, you listen and you do
And thank you, most especially for being our father.

When we think of all the things you do
the ways in which you care,
We're filled with a sense of gratitude
and pride that is always there.
We seldom take the time to tell you
that we're happy you're our dad,
so we'll tell you now what's in our hearts,
“You're the best that we ever could have”.

There is this past that is really past.
There is us, suddenly without you.

But your life continues in our hearts.
